Description
Cumin is native to Asia, Africa & Europe. However, people all around the World use it to flavor the food & India is the largest producer of cumin in the World.
Cumin seeds are used in the cuisines of many cultures in the form of dried seeds or as a ground powder. Cumin seeds have an aromatic odor & bitter taste and used as a condiment, a distinctive ingredient in many spice blends, curry powders, stews, grills-specially meat, chicken, Fish / sea foods & vegetables. Cumin is also used for the seasoning of breads, cakes, other bakery products, Cheese & perfumery etc.
In medicine, it is used as a stimulant, carminative, stomachic and astringent.
